Okay....

So, in my last post I misplaced the blame a little bit. I shouldn't use Obama's name...only. It's also most of the liberals, and some of the conservatives too, in this country that have taken away that simple logic most held, and some of us still hold, dear. The logic that leads us to use common sense when someone offers something for nothing, i.e.: "universal health care". The same logic that always reminded us that "there is no such thing as a free lunch". Somewhere Americans have lost that priceless gem. Well, at least enough of them to put the current administration in control. An administration that thinks that abdication of responsibility is morally right, and that thinks the taxpayers are there to foot the bill for their "not-thoroughly-thought-through", ill-conceived notions of how to fix this countries problems. Notions which have a poor track record for success in solving the nation's economic crises. If they want to stimulate the economy and give the people money to spend, why not get rid of the income taxes that were never intended to be imposed upon us in the first place? That would allow us more spending money faster than these stimulus checks, that's a fact proven by the Reagan Era. I know I have mentioned this all before, but hey, if we don't learn from our history we're doomed to repeat it. (Apparently we haven't learned our lesson very well). Reagan had the right idea, he cut taxes, as well as a little bit of the fat from some other places in the government, and in turn the national revenues went through the roof. Those tax cuts allowed the people of this country to spend a bit more freely, and STIMULATE the economy. They could afford to do that. Also, a quick side note, the unemployment rate was cut by a tremendous percentage as well. Jobs were allowed to be created to employ more people. What a novel idea, huh? Now, the current administration does not agree with this idea entirely, or very much at all for that matter. They seem to be under the same impression their past liberal/democratic predecessors were. "Let's throw a ton of money out there, that we don't really have and maybe even RAISE taxes to fund the project." The old adage comes to mind "money doesn't grow on trees." Well, there are at least a few people in our current presidential administration who sure as heck think it does. Wake up Obama AND cronies, you're ruining this country! You're plans have been tried before, and they don't work. Please face up to reality for just a couple of minutes; and above all, please don't blame the past administration like a certain liberal predecessor, *cough* FDR, did even after eight years in office. That's just plain childish, and unbecoming of those in such high and respected offices of this country.
